Ongoing Advisory & Local Monitoring
The Portuguese regime is not a one-off registration exercise. Our subscription service keeps your organisation continuously compliant, with eyes on Lisbon so your team can stay focused on its agenda.
- Identification
- Ongoing Advisory & Local Monitoring — a continuous compliance service for organisations subject to Law No. 5-A/2026 of 28 January (Lei n.º 5-A/2026, de 28 de janeiro), combining regulatory watch, register maintenance and on-demand advisory, delivered in English with local presence in Lisbon and Brussels.
- Target audience
- Registered entities without a permanent compliance presence in Portugal: multinationals with periodic regulatory interests, consultancies with Portuguese client portfolios, and European associations and chambers of commerce that interact with Portuguese public entities on a recurring basis.
- Regulatory basis
- The service operationalises the regime's continuing obligations and follows its evolving implementation: the 30-day duty to update registered data (Article 5(4)); the publication of meetings by public entities at least quarterly, and monthly by the Portuguese Parliament (Assembleia da República) (Article 8(3) and 8(4)); the sanctions exposure that follows from lapses (Article 11); the pending completion of the register's institutional framework [statute of the RTRI's management body to be approved in a separate instrument — Article 14] and the notice announcing the start of the RTRI's operations [Article 18(3)]; the Parliament's annual report on the register (Article 16(2)); and the review of the law three years after entry into force (Article 20).
- Scope and deliverables
- A monthly regulatory watch bulletin in English covering implementation notices, register practice and relevant developments in the Diário da República and the Parliament's portal; maintenance of your RTRI records, with updates prepared and filed within the 30-day deadline; reconciliation of the meetings published by public entities against your internal logs; an advisory helpdesk for day-to-day questions from your government affairs team; and structured escalation to senior advisers when a matter requires formal analysis.
- Methodology
- An annual subscription with a named account manager, monthly reporting, quarterly compliance reviews and agreed response times in European time zones. Onboarding includes a baseline review of your registration and internal procedures.
- Indicative duration
- Twelve-month renewable subscription; onboarding is typically completed within two weeks.
- Indicative investment
- [Fees to be confirmed — subscription tiers are scoped and priced on proposal.]
